Moths are Lepidoptera active during the night, although some are active during the day. They are in the same group as butterflies and act as flower pollinators. They have four wings covered with colored scales. Their mouthparts are in a coiled tube.

Moths: No clubed antennae (smooth, fuzzy, feathery), dull-coloured, wings held flat, usually night flight but some during the day

Butterflies: clubed antennae, brightly coloured, wings held upright, day flight.
