akkirataviniq ᐊᒃᑭᕋᑕᕕᓂᖅ
'Happens in polynyas where currents are strong or when it is windy, the ice breaks off and is flipped around under water, it breaks up the ice at the edge or goes under or over the ice edge, a dangerous ice conditions' (Sanikiluaq Siku Terminology Workshop, 2018).
