It is recommended that you make posts while out on the land where your observation has occurred because the SIKU app will automatically set your location using your device’s GPS – even when you are not connected to the internet.
Learn how to update the location of your SIKU post after it has been saved on your device.
- Tap the Saved tab
- Tap next to the post you wish to edit
- Select Edit
- Tap the Location & Time panel
- Tap the Set Post Location button
- Select Mark on Map
- Move the map so that the location you wish to select is visible
- Tap and hold on the map where the post occurred until an icon appears
- Tap the blue Save Location button
- Tap the yellow Save button
It is currently only possible to edit the location of your SIKU post if it has not yet been posted to SIKU. If you have already uploaded your post, you must use the web version of SIKU. Learn more
