Scapolite

A group of silicate minerals rich in calcium, aluminum & sodium with chlorine, carbonate ± sulfate, found where impure limestones are metamorphosed by contact with hot igneous magma. Common in marble, scapolite (H=5-6) is usually white or greyish-white,  becoming opaque if altered by weathering, with the development of micas and clay minerals.
